Beauty IV Therapy with Glutathione, Treatment

What Is a Glutathione IV?

A glutathione IV is an intravenous infusion of glutathione, a small protein-like molecule (a tripeptide) the body makes itself and uses as its main antioxidant. Taken by mouth, much of it is broken down during digestion. Given by IV, it goes straight into the bloodstream at a known dose — 1000 mg in our Beauty IV.

Glutathione IV Benefits:
What Each Ingredient Does

The Beauty IV gives you fluids and five nutrients at known doses. Glutathione and vitamin C are antioxidants; vitamin C is also needed to make collagen; biotin and the B vitamins are used in normal metabolism throughout the body, including skin, hair and nails. We describe what the ingredients do. We don't promise a visible result, and we don't claim this drip treats any skin condition.

Beauty IV Treatment

Hydration and Skin Moisture

The drip is mixed into a liter of saline, so you are rehydrated as it goes in. Good hydration is part of how skin looks and feels day to day.

Step 1

Biotin, B Vitamins and Vitamin C

Biotin 3 mg and the B-complex vitamins are coenzymes the body uses in normal metabolism, including in skin, hair and nails. Vitamin C 2000 mg is needed to make collagen, the protein that gives skin its structure.

Step 2

Glutathione, the Body's Main Antioxidant

Glutathione is a small molecule the body makes itself and uses as its main antioxidant. In the liver it binds to certain compounds so the body can clear them. Our Beauty IV gives 1000 mg, the most we give in one session.

What's in a
Glutathione Beauty IV?

A glutathione IV is an intravenous infusion of glutathione, a small molecule made of three amino acids that the body makes itself and uses as its main antioxidant. Taken by mouth, much of it is broken down in digestion; given by IV, it goes straight into the bloodstream at a known dose. Our Beauty IV contains glutathione 1000 mg (our maximum), vitamin C 2000 mg, biotin 3 mg, vitamin B12 2000 mcg and B-complex 2 ml (thiamine 200 mg, riboflavin 4 mg, niacinamide 20 mg, dexpanthenol 4 mg, pyridoxine 4 mg) in 1000 ml of normal saline. All our vitamins, including the glutathione, are compounded by a licensed US pharmacy. That matters: the FDA has reminded compounders not to use dietary-supplement-grade glutathione to make injectables.

Glutathione IV Side Effects

Most people have no problems. Some notice mild soreness where the IV goes in or a brief feeling of warmth, and both usually settle quickly. Tell your nurse straight away if you feel unwell during the drip; the rate can be slowed or the drip stopped. Biotin can interfere with some blood tests, so if you have a blood test booked, tell your nurse and your doctor. A glutathione IV is safe for most people who are screened and cleared, but not for everyone. Before your drip you complete a health screening covering your health history, current medicines, allergies, and whether you are pregnant or breastfeeding, and our physician assistant must clear you. If the Beauty IV isn't suitable, we'll tell you before anything goes in. We treat adults, and teens aged 16 to 17 with parental consent. Once you're cleared, your nurse comes to you, places a small IV line in your arm, mixes the drip on site and stays with you for the 45 to 60 minutes it takes.

Who Should Not Have a Glutathione IV?

A glutathione IV isn't right for everyone. Before your drip, you complete a health screening covering your health history, current medicines, allergies, and whether you are pregnant or breastfeeding, and our physician assistant must clear you. If the Beauty IV isn't suitable, we'll tell you before anything goes in. We treat adults, and teens aged 16–17 with parental consent.

What to Expect During Your Beauty IV

After our physician assistant clears your health screening, your nurse comes to you, places a small IV line in your arm and mixes the drip on site. It takes 45 to 60 minutes and your nurse stays with you throughout. Most people sit back, work or watch something while it runs.

Ready when you are: book your glutathione IV.

Quick Answers

Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers about our glutathione Beauty IV: what's in it, what it costs and who it's for.

A health screening reviewed by our physician assistant, a board-certified registered nurse who comes to you, sterile IV supplies, and the full formula: glutathione 1000 mg, vitamin C, biotin, vitamin B12 and B-complex, compounded by a licensed US pharmacy and mixed on site. The nurse stays with you throughout.
About 45 to 60 minutes once your nurse has set up. You can relax, work or watch something while the drip runs, and your nurse stays with you the whole time.
There's no schedule that suits everyone, and we don't sell a course. If you want repeat sessions, tell us at booking. Our physician assistant reviews your health history each time before clearing you.
For most people who are screened and cleared, yes, but not for everyone. Every booking starts with a health screening, and our physician assistant must clear you before your drip. Our vitamins are compounded by a licensed US pharmacy and given by board-certified registered nurses.
Yes, from the Beauty IV add-on list: extra vitamin C, zinc sulfate, magnesium, taurine, extra fluids, and some medicines after our physician assistant clears you. Glutathione and biotin are already at their maximum, so they can't be added again. If you'd like a different drip as well, ask when you book.
We don't promise visible results. You'll be rehydrated by the end of the session, because the drip includes a liter of saline. Beyond that, people describe their experience differently, and we make no claim about glow, skin tone, hair or nails.
Not by us. We make no claim that the Beauty IV lightens or whitens skin, and we don't offer it for that purpose. The FDA has cautioned about injectable glutathione products and how they are made — see our sourcing note above.
Taken by mouth, much of the glutathione is broken down in digestion. A drip puts it straight into your bloodstream at a known dose, 1000 mg here, alongside vitamin C, biotin and B vitamins. It's a different route and dose, not a promise of a different result.
Most people have none. Some notice mild soreness where the IV went in or temporary warmth, which settle quickly. Biotin can interfere with some blood tests, so if you have a blood test booked, tell your nurse and your doctor.
Adults, and teens aged 16 to 17 with parental consent, who want fluids plus glutathione, vitamin C, biotin and B vitamins at set doses, and who are cleared at our health screening. Many people book before an event. It is not a treatment for any skin condition.
Drink plenty of water, have a light meal, and have your list of current medicines ready for the health screening. If you have a blood test booked, tell your nurse, because biotin can interfere with some blood tests. Your nurse will handle everything else.
Glutathione is a small molecule made of three amino acids that the body produces itself and uses as its main antioxidant. In our Beauty IV it is given at 1000 mg, the most we give in one session, with vitamin C, biotin, vitamin B12 and B-complex.
$325 a session, including the nurse's visit, health screening, the full formula and all supplies. Add-ons are $20 per ml for vitamins and $25 for medicines. A travel fee applies outside our standard coverage area, shown before you confirm. We don't accept FSA or HSA cards.
The body uses and clears glutathione from the bloodstream fairly quickly, and we don't promise how long any effect lasts. What we can promise is the dose you receive, 1000 mg, and a full liter of fluids over 45 to 60 minutes.
Anyone our physician assistant doesn't clear at the health screening, which asks about your health history, medicines, allergies, pregnancy and breastfeeding. If the Beauty IV isn't suitable, we'll tell you before anything goes in.
