Hydration IV?

One liter of normal saline: sterile 0.9% sodium chloride, a standard IV fluid used in hospitals. It provides water, sodium and chloride. Plus 1 ml of one vitamin of your choice, included in the price: vitamin B12 1,000 mcg; B-complex (thiamine 100 mg, riboflavin 2 mg, niacinamide 10 mg, dexpanthenol 2 mg, pyridoxine 2 mg); vitamin C 500 mg; magnesium sulfate 200 mg; glutathione 100 mg; zinc sulfate 20 mg; biotin 3 mg; or taurine 100 mg. Nothing else goes in unless you choose an add-on. Our vitamins are compounded by a licensed US pharmacy. A liter takes 45 to 60 minutes and is the standard amount for mild to moderate dehydration.

IV Fluids at Home, Urgent Care or the ER?

A drip at home is a reasonable choice for mild to moderate dehydration: thirst, dark urine or going less often, dry mouth, headache, tiredness or muscle cramps after heat, exercise, travel or a night out. There's no waiting room, and you stay close to your own bathroom. If you are unwell and need to know why, see urgent care or your doctor: they can examine you and find the cause, while we give fluids and vitamins. Go to urgent care or the ER instead of booking a drip if you have little or no urine for many hours, dizziness or fainting when you stand up, confusion or unusual drowsiness, a racing heart or fast breathing, vomiting you can't stop, or blood in vomit or stool. Call 911 for fainting, confusion, chest pain or trouble breathing. We treat adults, and teens aged 16 to 17 with parental consent; for a younger child, contact your pediatrician.
